Former Shohola pastor celebrates 25th Jubilee

DALLAS — Misericordia University Chaplain Reverend Donald J. Williams, celebrated his 25th Jubilee with a mass and reception at the campus in November. The former pastor of St. Ann’s Parish in Shohola, Father Don joined the campus as chaplain and associate director of the Campus Ministry in July, 2008, sharing the wealth of experience he has garnered since being ordained into the priesthood in 1983. His background includes having served as diocesan vocation director for the Diocese of Scranton, director of Camp St. Andrew, and has had assignments at St. Peter’s Cathedral, Scranton, and parishes in Moscow, Kingston, Lake Winola, Plymouth and Forest City. A native of Dunmore, Father Don is one of 11 children and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in human services and theology from the University of Scranton and St. Pius X Seminary, Dalton, and his master’s of divinity from Christ the King Seminary, East Aurora, N.Y. He has certifications in spiritual direction and spirituality of diocesan priesthood. While serving at MU, Father Don lives in residence at St. Francis X. Cabrini in Carverton.
