KiDS Honor those who serve

Last month on Flag Day, students at Kids Play Today put together an American Flag using painted handprints from 80 spring session students. The flag was created to honor local service men and woman who were recently deployed on a 12-month tour in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. The flag traveled in mid June to Fort Dix to be raised briefly during the farewell ceremony and was signed by many of those who said goodbye to their loved ones that day. The flag was hung at Kids Play Today beginning on July 4. The message was: “God Bless and keep safe those who left in June as well as all the brave men and women who serve each day to keep us safe.”
