Brown fundraises in Pike MILFORD A fundraiser was held on Aug. 8 at the American Legion in Milford for Republican candidate Rosemary Brown for state Representative of the 189th District. Organizers said the fundraiser was a great success and allowed Brown to meet and talk to voters about herself, and to gather input as to what the taxpayers of her district want to see happen in the future. Church barbecue and auction Dingmans Ferry The Dingmans Ferry United Methodist Church’s annual chicken barbecue & country auction will be held on Aug. 21, 2010 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Auction bidding begins at 1 p.m. So come early to look over the auction items. Chris Carney will attend The Pike County Democratic Committee 2010 Family Picnic to be held Sunday Aug. 22, from noon to 3 p.m. at Promised Land State Park Pavillion #2CCC in Greentown, Admission tickets are available for purchase at the event at $10 per person and $25.00 per family. Full standard picnic fare will be served, including: wings, ribs, burgers, hot dogs, salads, soft drinks, and snack foods.
