Anna May Walsh, 67

Anna May Walsh, age 67, of Milford, Pennsylvania, went home to be with her savior on Saturday, February 3, 2024. She passed peacefully at home. Anna May was born in Sussex County; she was the daughter of Linden B. and Marie K Smith, of the Smith farms on Plains Road and Linn Smith Road in Augusta, New Jersey. She was a paralegal with a degree from Penn State University, and a social worker with a degree from Fordham University.

Through the years, Anna May worked as a social worker for Survivors Resources and DASI. She was also a sociology professor at SCCC. In most recent years, she was a hospice social worker for Wayne Memorial Health, where she also created and facilitated her own grief counseling groups.

Anna May was happily married to her husband, Robert Walsh, for the past 49 years. She was the loving mother of Sarah Banci and her husband George, and Matthew Walsh and his fiancé Marysa Krause; beloved grandma of Braeden Banci; and sister of Martha Little and her husband Wayne.

Friends and family are invited to join Anna May’s celebration of life visitation and service at Pinkel Funeral Home (31 Bank Street Route 23), Sussex, New Jersey, on Saturday, February 10, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with services starting at 2 p.m. Fellowship will be held immediately after the service at Frankford Plains United Methodist Church, 99 Plains Road, Augusta, New Jersey.
