Anthony J. Valentia Sr.

Anthony J. Valentia Sr. of Sparrowbush, N.Y., died on Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2017, at home with his family by his side. He was 68.
Son of the late Anthony Rocco and the late Doris Milne Valentia, he was born March 28, 1949, in Middletown, N.Y.
He worked as a bus driver for many years for Port Jervis, N.Y., and later retired from Quality Bus in Sparrowbush.
A family statement read: "He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather and Uncle. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed driving school bus and playing the slots. He will be loved and missed."
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Pamela Valentia, at home; son, Anthony Valentia Jr. and his fiancé, Desirae Schwab, of Bushkill, Pa.; daughter, April Kostenbader and her husband, Bryce, of Port Jervis; Charlene Heater and her companion, Ramiro Quiles, of Middletown, N.Y., Bonnie Schultz and her husband, Ronnie, of Middletown, Sandy Davila and her husband Jose of Middletown; grandchildren, Charles, Anthony III, Kayla, Jason, Hunter and Sierra; great-grandchildren, Kindal, Haiden, Mason, Piper, and Kelsea; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his siblings Linda King, Charlotte Steimle, Charles Valentia, Pete Valentia Sr., Joseph Valentia, Carrie Fryer, Easton Valentia, Nicholas Valentia, and Agnes Hendricks.
Visitation will be at the Gray-Parker Funeral Home, 100 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY 12771 on Friday, Aug. 11, 2017 from 4pm – 7 pm
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Aug. 12, at noon at the funeral home with the Rev. Aaron Baughman officiating. A burial of cremains will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery, Sparrowbush, N.Y.
