Brian Lewis Skyler
Brian Lewis Skyler of Moscow, Pa., died peacefully on Wednesday, October 4, 2017, at Newton Medical Center, Newton, N.J. He was 75.
Son of the late George and Evelyn (Steeber) Skyler, he was born on June 3, 1942, in Phillipsburg, N.J. He married to Nancy Ann Miranda in 1972.
He was a utility worker for JCP&L/GPU Energy for 36 years in Phillipsburg, N.J., a member for many years of the Bible Fellowship Church, Greentown, Pa., and a U.S. Army Veteran.
A family statement said: "Brian was a lover of all things adventurous, from skydiving to countless motorcycle trips, from long-distance bicycle treks to hunting and fishing. He loved life and doing all those things with his family. But most of all he loved his Savior and spreading that love to everyone he met."
He leaves behind his wife of 45 years, Nancy Skyler; daughter, Hannah (Cody) Smith; son, Kenneth (Joanne) Skyler; grandsons, Austin Skyler and Adam Meunier; sister, Diane Skyler; brothers, George Thomas Skyler Jr. and Timothy Skyler; niece, Danielle (Phill) Carr; grand-nephew, Gavin Carr, and grand-nieces, Mackenzie and Eleanora Carr.
A memorial service will be held on Oct. 14, at 2 p.m., at the Bible Fellowship Church of Greentown.
Memorial donations may be made to the ASPCA.
