Brian R. Emerick

Brian R. Emerick of Port Jervis died Monday, March 16, 2015, at home.

Son of John M. Rudy and Crystal Conklin Rudy, he was born on Aug. 20, 1960, in Port Jervis.

He worked as a stock clerk with the night crew at the Shop-Rite Food Store in Montague, N.J. He was an avid fisherman, a talented musician and a member of the Carl Richards Band in Port Jervis.

He married Karen Boucher Emerick, who pre-deceased him on Dec. 28, 2013.

Survivors include his father, John M. Rudy of Port Jervis; daughter, Danielle Boucher and her companion, Vincent Black, of Port Jervis; two sisters, Crystal Boby and her husband, Darin, of Dingmans Ferry, and Dawn Rudy of Port Jervis; brother, Richard Cacavale and his wife, Josephine, of Promised Land; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was pre-deceased by his brother Guy Thomas Emerick and his sister-in-law Dawn Knight.

Memorial services will be announced at a later date by the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be may made to the Port Jervis-Deerpark Humane Society, Route 209, Port Jervis, NY 12771 or to the American Heart Association, 419 E. Main St., Suite 305, Middletown, NY 10940.
