Brooke Samantha Piemonte

Brooke Samantha Piemonte of Greenville Township, N.Y., formerly of Lackawaxen, Pa., died from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Monday, May 16, 2016, at Bon Secours Community Hospital, Port Jervis. She was 6 years old.
Daughter of William F. Piemonte and Tammy Fessler Mathisen, she was born Aug. 13, 2009, in Port Jervis, N.Y.
She was a kindergarten student at the Wallenpaupack North Elementary School in Hawley, Pa.
A family statement read: "Brooke was a fun loving, caring and adventurous little girl who lit a spark in everyone she met. She loved boating, swimming, camping, doing arts and crafts, fishing, bowling, playing Uno and spending good times with family and friends. She will forever be in our hearts and forever missed."
Survivors include her loving parents, William Piemonte and Tammy Mathisen, at home; sister, Carly Mathisen of Middletown, N.Y.; paternal grandmother, Florence Piemonte of Jim Thorpe, Pa.; maternal grandmother, Patricia Walsh of Huguenot, N.Y.; paternal aunt, Rita Goodhue and her husband, Greg, of Mechanicsburg, Pa.; paternal uncle, Joseph T. Piemonte Jr. of Jim Thorpe; maternal uncles, Kevin Walsh, Kyle Walsh, and Brian Walsh of Huguenot; first cousins, Heather, Shannon, and Matthew Goodhue of Mechanicsburg, Pa.; first cousins, Victoria and Thomas Piemonte of Bethpage, N.Y.; paternal great-uncle and -aunt, William and Claire Piemonte of Massapequa, N.Y.; maternal great-aunt and -uncle, Janet and Norm Compton of Vernon, N.J.; and many other cousins.
She was predeceased by her paternal grandfather, Joseph T. Piemonte Sr.; maternal grandfather, Jamie Fessler; and maternal step-grandfather, Kevin Walsh.
Visitation was at the Gray-Parker Funeral Home in Port Jervis on May 20 and 21. Funeral services were held May 21 at Gray-Parker Funeral Home in Port Jervis with the Rev. Nancy Vonderhorst officiating.
Cremation was at MacLennan Hall Crematorium, Milford, Pa.
