Camiren “Cam” Byrne, 14, of Milford, PA passed away at home on Tuesday, December 6th, surrounded by his loving family. Cam was a bright light to everyone who knew him; he was taken too soon and will be dearly missed.

Cam was the bravest; he had been fighting cancer for over two years, but you would never have known. He never complained; Cam was strong, stronger than most. Cam’s strength touched many people, some whom he never even met.

Cam was a freshman at Delaware Valley High School. He graduated eighth grade earlier this year. At his moving up ceremony in the spring, Camiren was awarded the Warrior Award, an award given to someone who shows extraordinary strength.

Cam loved everything Disney, and Cam’s family is thankful they were able to take a one in a lifetime trip to Disney earlier this year. They made so many memories that his parents and siblings will cherish forever. Cam’s favorite part of the trip was visiting Hollywood Studios and all of the Star Wars rides; his favorite was the Rise of the Resistance.

Cam loved to laugh and was always smiling. You could often hear him saying silly things, such as, “What’s up homefry?”. Cam always laughed at a good “your mom” joke. He loved the Steelers and tolerated the Eagles for his dad. Cam was passionate about video games, something he enjoyed playing with Sheridan and Christian, his siblings. His favorite games were Fortnite and Call of Duty.

Cam loved candy! His favorites were pull-and-peel Twizzlers, Jolly Ranchers, Mike & Ike, Reese’s pieces and Reese’s peanut butter chips. He loved Pokemon, Spiderman, and Naruto. Cam adored animals, especially his teacup chihuahua, Finnlee.

Some of his favorite pastimes were watching football games with his dad and going to see Marvel movies with his siblings. Cam loved food, and all of the desserts, especially cookie dough ice cream and brownies. He also loved his mom’s cooking, especially her pasta with meat sauce and her pumpkin pie.

Cam loved his Pikachu pillow, his brown and white Squishmallow, and his Stitch stuffie. His favorite social game was Werewolf and he could play for hours! He was always the best werewolf.

Left to cherish Camiren’s memory are his dad and mom, Justin and Jen Byrne; siblings, Sheridan and Christian; aunts and uncles, Carissa Byrne Hebert and Matthew Hebert, Blair and Deanna Byrne, David and Brad Truax, Shane Byrne and Mary George, Cooper Byrne, Evynne Byrne, Lindsey Holmes, Ross Morganstein, Gary Jr. Patterson, Gail Patterson, Josh and Theresa Patterson, Justin Patterson and Allison Watkins, Joe Patterson, Zach and Elizabeth Patterson; Grandparents, Wendy Christmann Bamper and Dan Bamper, Steve and Samantha Byrne, Valerie and Thomas Holmes, and Gary and Rosemary Patterson; cousins Hailie and Hanna Colon, McKenna and Owen Byrne, Scarlett Hebert, Trey Gary Wayne III, Jonathan, Joshua, Jordan, Riley, Aulbre, Karleigh, Kennedy, Autumn, Zayden, Katerina, Emmitt, and Titus Patterson. The family would also like to thank Cam’s teacher, Chris Helmlinger (Mr. H), and his nurse, Nicol Lynch, for taking such great care of Camiren.

Camiren was predeceased by his loving mother, Rose Byrne, and his aunt Elizabeth Patterson.

Funeral services were held at Stroyan Funeral Home on December 13, 2022, with Rev. John Boyle officiating.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the family to help offset residual medical expenses or a memorial contribution to the scholarship fund that will be setup in Camiren’s name at Delaware Valley High School.
