Carl Hardick, Sr. of Matamoras, Pa., passed away peacefully on Monday, Sept. 29, 2025, at Bon Secours Community Hospital. He was 90 years old.

Born on May 11, 1935, in Newton, N.J, Carl was the son of the late Raymond and Helen Hardick.

Carl was deeply involved in his community and was a proud member of several organizations. He served as a past master of the Milford Masonic Lodge. In addition, he was a dedicated member of the Pennsylvania Fish Commission and attended Sussex Baptist Church. A passionate sportsman, Carl was an accomplished trap shooter in his younger years, winning numerous state championships with a gun club in Bangor, Pa. He was also an avid golfer and enjoyed many outdoor activities throughout his life.

Guided by his faith, Carl lived a life of hope, charity, and kindness, and he will be remembered for his loving devotion to his family. His warmth and generosity touched the lives of those around him, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Carl was happily married to Barbara Hardick for 56 years until her passing in 2012. Together, they built a life full of love and lasting memories.

Carl is survived by his beloved daughter, Cindy Worthington and her husband Charles; his grandchildren, Amy Marchesin and her husband Vince, Charles Worthington, and Cathleen Worthington; his great-granddaughter, Abagail Shannon; and his girlfriend, Petra Dewey and many loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sons, Carl Hardick Jr. and James Hardick, as well as his three brothers, Roy Hardick, Robert Hardick, and Lewis Hardick.

A loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Carl’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

There will be no visitation.

A celebration of life was held Sunday, Oct. 12, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the Montague Community Center, Montague, N.J, no formal attire required.

A burial of ashes will be held privately in Clove Cemetery, Sussex, N.J.

Cremation was held at the MacLennan Hall Crematorium, Milford, Pa.
