    Carol Albrecht of Augusta, N.J., died peacefully at Belle Reve Senior Living in Milford on Saturday, May 2, 2015. She was 80.

    Daughter of the late Edward and Florence (Fersch) Simkin, she was born on Dec. 9, 1934, in Passaic, N.J. She was married to the late Neil Albrecht, who predeceased her on Oct. 11, 2011.

    She earned a master's degree in teaching and communications while raising four children and went on to become a middle school history teacher at Rockaway School District in New Jersey.

    She loved animals and was always surrounded by her beloved dogs and horses. She was active in equine activities in Sussex County, N.J., and beyond for many years. She was an avid and expert knitter and crocheter and a wonderful cook. The gifts and talents she brought to her family and friends will be greatly missed.

    Survivors include a daughter Diane Arden of Milford; three sons, Robert Albrecht of Milford, Scott Albrecht of Branchville, N.J., and Christopher Albrecht of Hawley, Pa.

    Services and cremation will be private at the convenience of the family.

    In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the New Jersey Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, 1119 Livingston Ave., New Brunswick, NJ 08901.

    Funeral arrangements were made by Stroyan Funeral Home in Milford.
