Christine Marie Schwartz

Christine Marie Schwartz of Shohola died Monday, Sept. 7, 2015, at Bon Secours Community Hospital with her family by her side. She was 47.

Daughter of Paul and Janet Piserchia Schwartz Sr., she was born Sept. 13, 1967, in Rahway, N.J.

She was a loving mother to her children and loved to be with her family and friends. She had a passion for all animals. She was affiliated with multiple animal rescue groups and shelters. Christine found it her responsibility to save abused animals and find them loving homes. She worked as a self-employed dog groomer for many years.

Survivors include one daughter, Erica Schwartz of Colonia, N.J.; one son, Jake Schwartz of Colonia, N.J.; her loving companion, Bobby Kyle; one brother, Paul Schwartz Jr. and his wife, Jennifer, of Freehold, N.J.; one sister, Tara Kilgore and her husband, Stacy, of Georgia; maternal grandparents, Dominick and Josephine Piserchia; aunt, Karen, and her husband, Joe, of Lakewood, N.J.; Uncle Steve from Florida; nieces and nephews, Harrison, Aidan, Wyatt and Mackenzie; cousins, Michele Fotia and her husband, Mike, and their children, Mikey Jr., Jason and Ariana, and Stephen Hnida III; and her beloved animals.

There will be no visitation. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
