Constance E. Defrancesco–Dapkins

    Constance E. Defrancesco–Dapkins of Shohola died peacefully on Sunday, April 5, 2015, at home surrounded by her family. She was 70.

    She was a retired nurse’s aide for nursing homes and hospitals all across Pike County.

    Daughter of the late Percy and Helen (DeLee) DeLanoy, she was born on Aug. 18, 1944, in White Plains, N.Y. She married Andrew Dapkins on May 26, 2004.

    Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Tami DeFrancesco of Shohola and Dana Hoos of Milford; son, Pat DeFrancesco and wife, Stacy, of Lackawaxen; three granddaughters, Jessica Clark of Shohola, Valerie Alfieri of Matamoras, and Elizabeth Mildenstein of Fredrick, Md.; grandson, Nicholas Alfieri of Dingmans Ferry; brother, Joseph DeLanoy of White Plains, N.Y.; three great-grandchildren, Adam, Anthony, and Kendall; five stepchildren; and eight great stepchildren.

    Visitation was held at Stroyan Funeral Home in Milford on April 6 and 7. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Ann’s Church, Shohola, on April 8, with the Rev. Thomas Major officiating. Burial followed at Milford Cemetery.
