Donald Robert Howell Jr.

Donald Robert Howell Jr. of Matamoras died on Monday, Dec. 28, 2015 at home. He was 81.

Son of the late Donald Robert Sr. and Hattie Decker, he was born Nov. 12, 1934, in Newfoundland, N.J. He was married to Joann Roeder Howell June 28, 1986.

He was a retired glassblower for Gillinder Glass Factory in Port Jervis. He was a U.S. Navy Korean War veteran from 1952 to 1955, serving two years in Korea, and a member of the Tri State Naval Ship #7241, Port Jervis.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Debra A. Masker of Huguenot, N.Y., and Cindy Mills of Sparrowbush, N.Y.; two step daughters, Debra Mann of Reading, Pa., and Lisa Ferguson of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; step son, Todd Lovelace of Greentown, Pa.; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his son Harris Howell; step son, Terrance Lovelace; and two brothers, Walter and Paul Howell.

Services and cremation will be private at the conveniences of the family.
