Edward 'Uncle Ed' Talmadge
Edward "Uncle Ed" Talmadge of Port Jervis died on Friday, Nov. 20, 2015, at Bon Secours Community Hospital, Port Jervis. He was 78.
Son of Howard and Harriet Ryerson Talmadge, he was born on April 25, 1937, in Port Jervis.
He retired as a construction worker for Union Local 17, Newburgh, N.Y.
Survivors include his wife, Rachel Carter Talmadge, at home; three daughters, Michelle Mussolini and her husband, Daniel Milewski, of Dingmans Ferry, Bridget Perrucci and her husband, Robert, of Port Jervis, and Lori Schock and her husband, Alan, of Huguenot; sons, Brian Talmadge and his wife, Jamie, of Port Jervis, and Edward Hughson and his fiance, Jessica, of Huguenot; his brother, Walter Talmadge and his wife, Vera, of Matamoras; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Gregory Talmadge; brothers Richard, Howard, Jay and Michael Talmadge; and his sister, Ann Hughson.
Ed loved to have a good time. He enjoyed sports, travel, fishing and sitting on his porch. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Memorial services were held Nov. 27 at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home in Port Jervis, with the Rev. Nancy Vonderhorst officating.
