    Evelyn F. McTiernan of Tuxedo, and formerly of Monroe and Whiting, N.J., died on Saturday, Aug. 22, 2015, at Orange Regional Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill. She was 71.

    Daughter of the late John Lynch and Eleanor T. Lynch, she was born in Brooklyn on Nov. 1, 1943.

    She was the widow of Peter McTiernan.

    She was a former parishioner and religious education teacher at St. Anastasia Church in Harriman and was former member of the American Legion Post 488 Ladies' Auxiliary of Monroe.

    Survivors include her daughters, Teresa Marino and her husband, Mark, of Chester, Ellen Philbrick and her husband, Tom, of Hillsdale, N.J.; and grandchildren, Collin and Aidan.

    She was predeceased by her son, Christopher McTiernan; brother, John Lynch; and sisters, Helen Finnegan and Peggy McTiernan.

    Visitation was scheduled for 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 26, at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush Funeral Home, 117 Maple Ave., Monroe. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 27, at St. Anastasia Parish Church, 21 North Main St., Harriman.

    Cremation will be at Cedar Hill Crematory, Middle Hope, N.Y.
