Harvey H. Hotalen

Harvey H. Hotalen of Milford died on Sunday, Oct. 11, 2015, at Belle Reve Senior Living in Milford. He was 89.

Son of the late Lesler and Wreath (Major) Hotalen, he was born on May 16, 1926, Layton, N.J.

He was a retired supervisor for Orange & Rockland Utilities and a member of the Drew Methodist Church in Port Jervis and the Rossa Fleming Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a World War II U.S. Navy Veteran.

He was married to Joan (Judd) Hotalen, who predeceased him on June 20, 2002.

Survivors include his son, Martin C. Hotalen of Tarpon Springs, Fla.; daughter, Rhonda Leister of Milford; sisters, Virginia Pittinger of Hackettstown, N.J., Patricia Dunbar of Lady Lake, Fla., and Margaret Grecco of Dover, N.J.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by one daughter, Aleece Benner.

Visitation was held at Stroyan Funeral Home in Milford on Monday, Oct. 26. A service was held Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Bob Cassidy officiating. Burial followed in Milford Cemetery, Dingman Township, with military honors.
