James Peter Husted
James Peter Husted died at home in Plano, Texas, on Sunday, June 28, 2015. He was 61.
Son of the late Theodore H. and Mary Elizabeth Middleton Husted, who lived in Milford, he was born in Philadelphia in 1953.
He grew up in Pelham, N.Y., and graduated from Salesian High School and Iona College, both in New Rochelle, N.Y. His professional career as a technical trainer and consultant took him around the country and the world, where he made friends everywhere with his ready smile and warm manner. He was a kind and generous man who never failed to go out of his way to help someone in need.
Survivors include his siblings and their spouses, Mike and Betsey Husted of Las Vegas, Tom Husted of Southbury, Conn., Ted and Wanda Husted of the Bronx, Cathy and Tim Sheffler of Waverly, Pa., Betsy and Efrain Mendez of New Rochelle, N.Y., and Chris and Cathy Husted of Plainfield, Ill.; 13 nieces and nephews; and five young great-nieces and nephews.
His family will receive friends beginning at 9 a.m. on Friday, July 17, at St. Patrick’s Church, 111 High St., Milford PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. He will be laid to rest with his parents in Milford Cemetery.
The family states: "In lieu of flowers, please emulate Jim by doing something kind and generous in his memory. Select a charity that benefits children, volunteer to help those in need, or simply reach out to someone who could use a smile and a big Jim-like hug."
Funeral arrangements were made by Stroyan Funeral Home, Milford.
