James Robert Read

James Robert Read of Rock Hill, N.Y., passed away on Thursday, Feb. 1, 2018, in Delaware Township, Pa. He was 26.
Son of Daniel and Patti (Dieckmann) Read, he was born on June 22, 1991, in Suffern, N.Y.
He was a self-employed rreelancer. Jimmy loved fishing, camping, climbing trees, camp fires, hiking and the outdoors. He loved to make up his own rap songs and hang out with his friends and family. He was the "bestest" big brother to Danielle and Zack. He loved his children with all his being. Jimmy had a huge heart and would do anything to help anyone. He cherished his family and friends. He truly was “one of a kind.”
James lives on through his parents, Patti Dieckmann-Read and Daniel Read, both of Dingmans Ferry, Pa.; sister, Danielle Read and his only nephew, Noah, of Walden, N.Y.; brother, Zachary Read of Dingmans Ferry; sister, Christine Read-Dodds of Millington, Tenn.; daughter, Lylah Mykenzie Rodriquez; son, Bradley James Read; the mothers of his children, Lydia Rodriquez and Megan Ryan; maternal grandmother, Anita Dieckmann of Wallkill, N.Y.; paternal grandparents, Susan Read of Fairfax, Va., and Robert Read of Cudjoe Key, Fla.; and great-grandpa Raymond Dunne of Rock Tavern, N.Y.
He was predeceased by his grandfather Charles Dieck and his great-grandmother Anita Dunne. He also lives on through his best friends Kelsey Travor, Tim Wendland, the Sunrise Crew and many others, too many to list.
There will be a celebration of life held for Jimmy on Saturday, Feb. 17, at the American Legion Post 139, County Route 2001, Milford, Pa., from 1 to 5 p.m.
Cremation was held at the convenience of the family at MacLennan Hall Crematorium, Milford Township.
Memorial donations may be made to a scholarship fund for his children, Lylah Mykenzie Rodriguez and Bradley James Read, that will be established at a later date.
