Janeth Aronson DeGraw of Milford, Pennsylvania, passed away on June 23, 2024, peacefully while surrounded by the love of her doting family.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, to Theresa and Elias Aronson on June 26, 1933, she cherished her childhood summers spent in White Lake, NY, with her brother Neal Aronson and all her cousins. When she was 13, her family moved to Huguenot, NY, where they purchased a hunting compound named Janeal Lodge.
Janeth met the love of her life, William (Bill) DeGraw, and together they raised their three children. In her early 20s, Janeth decided to continue her education at East Stroudsburg University, earning a bachelor’s degree in education while raising three rambunctious children, working full time, and commuting to school. Family was everything to her and nothing was too difficult. She was a member of MENSA and set a strong example for everyone in her life. Always was a wiz at “Jeopardy!” shouting the answers as questions were read! Janeth served two terms as a director of the Delaware Valley School Board.
Janeth is survived by her loving family: husband William Albert DeGraw; their son Wesley DeGraw and wife Kathy DeGraw of Crestwood, NJ; daughters Denise DeGraw Fey and Michele DeGraw Neidenberg and her husband Steve Neidenberg of Milford, Pa.; grandson Michael DeGraw and his love Jill Crossley of St. Teresa, New Mexico; granddaughter Heather DeGraw Kleber and husband Rob Kleber of Milford, Pa.; grandson Erik Jon Fey of Klamath Falls, Oregon; grandson Adam Thomas Fey of Bozeman, Montana; brother Neal Aronson of Montague, Calif.; and great-grandchildren Will DeGraw, Jilian DeGraw, Alexis Kleber, Stephen Hunter Fey, and Tessa Linn Fey.
A private memorial will be held at a later date. The family asks that in leu of flowers you kindly send a donation to the Pike County Library, which Janeth considered her second home.
