    Joseph M. Cataldo of Lords Valley, Pa., died on Sunday, Jan. 24, 2016, at Milford Senior Care, Milford. He was 79.

    Son of the late Donato and Lucy (Nardozza) Cataldo, he was born on Feb. 20, 1936, in New York City, N.Y.

    He was married to Maryann O’Connell on Aug. 28, 1982, in Pomona, N.Y.

    He was a retired stationary engineer for the New York City Waste Water Treatment. He was a fourth-degree and past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Our Lady of the Mountain Council 9832, Milford, Pa.

    Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Josine Young of Garnerville, N.Y., and Linda Vairo of West Nyack, N.Y.; two sons, Michael Cataldo of Torrance, Calif., and Joseph Cataldo of Stony Point, N.Y.; three stepsons, Martin O’Connell of Congers, N.Y., Edward O’Connell of Garnerville, N.Y., and Thomas O’Connell of Glen Rock, N.J.; and ten grandchildren.

    He was predeceased by his first wife, Dorothy Cataldo; one brother, Ralph Cataldo; and one sister, Mary Cataldo

    Friends may call at St. Vincent dePaul Church, 101 St. Vincent Drive, Milford, from 11 a.m. to noon on Monday, Feb. 1.

    A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at noon on Feb. 1 at St. Vincent’s dePaul Church, with the Rev. Paul Mullen officiating. Burial will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 2, at St. Raymond Cemetery, Bronx, N.Y.
