Joseph P. Bones

Joseph P. Bones of Milford, formerly of Drexel Hill, Pa., died on Saturday, May 23, 2015, at home. He was 85.

Son of the late Thomas and Elizabeth (Conallen) Bones and predeceased by six brothers.

He was a 40-year member with Plasterer Local 8 Philadelphia, active member of Mt. Laurel VFW Post # 8612, Milford, volunteer for Habitat for Humanity for many years, and a U.S. Army veteran serving from 1950 to 1954.

He was the husband of Mary Jane (Danaher) and father of Joseph (Anna), John (Rosemary), Patrick (Elizabeth). He also leaves a sister, Elizabeth Cooke (Leo); grandchildren, Katie, Joey, Kristen, Patrick, Colleen, and Casey; and one great-grandson Chase.

Visitation was held at Stroyan Funeral Home, Milford, on May 27. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Patrick’s Church, Milford, on May 28, with the Rev. Gregory Kelly officiating.

Burial took place at SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Marple Township, PA on May 29..
