Joseph R. Politoski of Dingmans Ferry, Pa., died on Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2017, at home. He was 82.
Son of the late Joseph and Julianna (Zebrowski) Politoski, he was born July 29, 1934, in Brooklyn. He was married to Barbara (Wild) Politoski on April 4, 1959, in Woodhaven, N.Y.
He was a retired route manager for Nassau Industrial Uniform, Freeport, N.Y.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving from 1951 to 1955. He was a parishioner and usher of St. Vincent DePaul Church, Milford, Pa.; and a member of Marsch Kellogg American Legion Post # 139, Milford.
Survivors include his wife; four children, Veronica L. Politoski of West Sayville, N.Y., Bernard E. Politoski of Massapequa Park, N.Y., Michele Flaherty and her husband, James, of East Meadow, N.Y., and Steven J. Politoski and his wife, Christine, of West Sayville, N.Y.; brother, Bernard W. Politoski and his wife, Margaret, of Warwick, N.Y.; seven grandchildren, Patricia, Katlyn, Joseph, Samantha, Steven, Jeanmarie, and Geoffrey; and great-granddaughter Juliette.
Visitation was held at Stroyan Funeral Home in Milford on Jan. 22. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Vincent DePaul Church on Jan. 23, with the Rev. Thomas Major officiating. Burial took place at Milford Cemetery, Dingman Township, at the convenience of the family.
