Joseph W. Ditta

Joseph W. Ditta of Milford died on Sunday, June 28, 2015, at home. He was 91.

Son of the late Joseph M. and Antoinette (Cottone) Ditta, he was born Nov. 19, 1923, in Brooklyn.

He was a retired mechanic for Monroe Adding Company in New York, N.Y., a U.S. Army World War II veteran and a member of the Marsch Kellogg American Legion Post #139, Milford.

Survivors include his daughter, Christine Murphy, and her husband, Robert; two sisters, Vera Ditta of Milford, Mary Mirabile of Manalapan, N.J.; brother, Rudolph Ditta of Staten Island, N.Y.; two grandsons, August Smith and Christopher Murphy; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by two sons, Christopher and Joseph W. Ditta.

Visitation at Stroyan Funeral Home in Milford was scheduled for on July 1, from 2 to 5 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial was set to be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Church, Milford, at 10 a.m. on July 2, with the Rev. Gregory Kelly officiating. Burial with military honors will take place in Milford Cemetery in Dingman Township.
