Kenneth M. Smith

Kenneth M. Smith of Glen Spey, N.Y., died on Saturday, July 29, 2017, at his home. He was 64.
Son of the late Alfred E. and the late Elizabeth P. Hixon Smith, he was born July 5, 1953, in New York, N.Y.
He worked as a maintenance supervisor for Southwinds in Middletown, N.Y., until 2011.
A family statement read: "Ken was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend. He volunteered his time to his local community by serving as the Past President of the Eldred Little League.”
Survivors include his loving wife of 31 years, Donna M. Smith, at home; sons, Jacob M. and Aaron M. Smith of Glen Spey; daughter, Rachel M. Smith and her fiancé, Timothy J. Kurtzberg, of Edgewater, Md.; brother, Russell W. Smith and his wife, Janet, of Milford, Pa.; sister, Christine M. Smith and her husband, Edward, of Ocala, Fla.; six nephews; sister-in-law, Lisa Bowser and her husband, Douglas; brother-in-law, Marc Monteith; and special friend Robert Baran and his wife, Elizabeth.
He was predeceased by his parents and his sister-in-law, Debra Monteith
Visitation was to take place at Gray-Parker Funeral Home, 100 East Main St., Port Jervis on Thursday, Aug. 3, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Aug. 4, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Nancy Vonderhorst officiating. Burial will be at Rural Valley Cemetery, Cuddebackville, N.Y.
