Maureen Theresa McDonald

Maureen Theresa McDonald (nee O’Connor) of Dingmans Ferry, Pa., died after a short illness at Newton Medical Center in Newton, N.J., on Monday, June 12, 2017. She was 74.
Born to Francis and Alice O’Connor in Queens, NY, she had lived in the Sussex Hills section of Vernon Township, N.J., for 25 years before moving to Dingman’s Ferry, Pa., 25 years ago.
Maureen worked as the head cashier for Legends Resort in Vernon. She was a member of the Pochuck Valley Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary for over 20 years, an avid Yankees Fan and enjoyed casino trips. She took great joy in being with family, especially during the holidays, and was a doting wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth J. McDonald, in 2014.
She was the devoted mother of Maureen Munn and her husband, Craig, of Lakeville, Pa., and Linda Boniface and her fiancée, Jim Hawthorne, of Glenwood, N.J.; grandmother of Bradley, Kelly, Jessica and Melissa; great-grandmother of twins, Kenny and Katie; sister of Teresa Hayward and her husband, Don, of Little Egg Harbor, N.J., and Alice Hahn of Sussex Hills, N.J.
Visitation was held at Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home in Vernon on June 15. A funeral service was held June 16 at the funeral home. Interment followed at Glenwood Cemetery, Glenwood, N.J.
