Robert Paul Waterbury

    Robert Paul Waterbury of Milford died at home on Friday, March 18, 2016. He was 89.

    Son of the late Witford and Marjorie (Fredericks) Waterbury, he was born on May 9, 1926, in the Bronx. He was married to Amelia Petrosino, who predeceased him on Feb. 6.

    He served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II in the Pacific theater as an elite member of the Seabees, and was a member of the American Legion. He was a chemist by trade and worked for Standard T. Chemical Co., Staten Island for 25 years before his retirement in 1989.

    Survivors include his sons, Bryan of Honesdale, Kurt and his wife, Kathy, of Staten Island, Duane and his wife, Rose, of Staten Island, Keith and his wife, Gina, of Lindenhurst, N.Y.; grandchildren, Jennifer and husband, Michael Leonardi, Christina, Alyssa, Gina and Raymond; and great-grandchildren, Maylin and Ryan. He was predeceased by his sister, Phyllis, and daughter-in-law Carol.

    A viewing was held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 23, at Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 West Harford St., Milford. A service followed, with the Reve. Paul Mullen officiating.
