    Roy "Turk" M. Fairweather, Jr., age 54, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2015, at Andover Subacute and Rehabilitation Center.

    Born on May 30, 1961, in Sussex to the late Roy M. Fairweather, Sr., and Betty Mae (Simmons) Fairweather, Turk had lived in Sussex County most of his life. He had been employed as a truck driver for Sussex Block in Sparta. Roy enjoyed the outdoors and loved to hunt and fish and attend the Orange County races. He was predeceased by two sisters, Katherine Courtright and Nancy Fairweather. Roy is survived by his two sons, Harold Fairweather and his significant other, Lauren Blauvelt, of Hampton and Roy "T.J." M. Fairweather, III, and his significant other, Ashley Gardner of Sussex; his daughter, Kristen Fairweather, and her significant other, Joseph W. Cosh of Wantage; two brothers, Richard Fairweather of Sussex Borough and Raymond Fairweather of Wantage; four sisters, Margaret Decker of Westtown, N.Y., Bertha Sanders of Unionville, N.Y., Arlene Thornton of Dingman's Ferry, Pa., and Gertrude Sanders of Port Jervis, N.Y.; his twin granddaughters, Mia and Maria Cosh; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may pay their repects to the family on Friday, July 24, 2015, from 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Sussex Fire Department, 25 Loomis Avenue, Sussex Borough. Private burial services will be held at the convenience of the family. Funeral services have been entrusted to the Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank Street (Route 23), Sussex.
