Theresa M. Mills

Theresa M. Mills of Port Jervis died on Sunday, June 7, 2015, at her home. She was 71.

Daughter of Julius and Madeline Furrer, she was born on July 15, 1943, in Richmond Hills, N.Y.

She had a love of animals and especially a strong love for cats.

Survivors include her husband, Robert H. Mills, at home; brother, Julius Furrer of Binghamton, N.Y.; three sisters-in-law, Marion Mills of Port Jervis, Carrie Mills of Port Jervis, and Beverly Eldred of Milford; and several nieces and nephews.

Theresa wanted to thank her special nephew and best friend, Alan Mills and his family ,for their endless kindness and care during her illness. Alan's devotion and commitment in helping take care of Theresa will always be remembered.

She was pre-deceased by her sister, Catherine Furrer.

Visitation was June 9 at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, Port Jervis. Funeral services were scheduled for 11 a.m. on June 10 at the funeral home (154 E. Main St.) with the Rev. Nancy Vonderhorst officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery, Sparrowbush, N.Y.
