Vivian N. McGaw of Port Jervis died peacefully on July 5, 2023, with her family at her side. She was 101.
The daughter of Arthur T. and Emma S. (Krause) Aumick, she was born on Jan. 8, 1922. in Matamoras, Pa.
Vivian was a former longtime member of St. Peter’s Lutheran inPort Jervis and the Clara Bradley Lodge Ladies Auxiliary.
Vivian’s family recall her feistiness and love for Bingo but will remember her as the matriarch she was.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased in life by her husband Ralph “Alfred” McGaw Jr., son Ronald A. McGaw and brother Theodore Aumick.
Devoted mother of Teresa I. Galloway with her husband Richard of Port Jervis. Beloved grandmother of Mary Sauschuck, Regina Baumgardner (Charles) and Debbra Padgett (Robert Jr). Dear great-grandmother of Jerome Lomangino (Rachel), Dillon Sauschuck (Oliva), Daeryan Padgett and Logan Padgett. Great great grandmother of Nathan, Lia and Connor.
Funeral services were held July 10 at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 East Main St., Port Jervis. Interment followed in Pine Grove Cemetery in Matamoras.
