A family statement read: Bill was a loving husband, caring father, and kind grandfather. He was a true family man. A wonderful Dad, he always coached whatever sports his kids were involved in. Bill loved games and all sports. He was especially a fan of the New York Giants and the New York Mets. Bill’s favorite place to go was to the beach. He was a gentle soul and family beach vacations were his happy place. Bill worked for 29 years at the Port Jervis Post Office. Upon his retirement, Bill became what he enjoyed most of all in his life – a professional babysitter in his most loved role as “Gramps” to his four grandchildren.
