William John Rich

William John Rich, 90, a twenty five year resident of Milford passed away Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Bon Secours Hospital, Port Jervis, NY after a short illness.

He was born September 14, 1925 in New York, NY to the late William and Margaret (Silo) Rich. He was married for 57 years to the late Joan (Goldrick) Rich.

A retired mail carrier for 28 years, William proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II and again in Korea.

He is survived by his son Stephen of Milford, daughter Karen Murphy and husband Scott of Lebanon, NJ; daughter Susan Coss and husband Roger of Lafayette, NJ; four grandchildren, Roger Jr., Erin, Brandon and Keara; and many nephews and nieces.

He will be remembered for his love of seeing children play in the park, and for just being a really nice guy.

A private family service was held at Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 West Harford Street Milford Wednesday October 7, 2015
