William R. Morgan

William R. Morgan, a lifelong resident of Port Jervis, N.Y., died on Sunday, Nov. 20, at home. He was 73.
He was retired from the railroad after serving 40 years for New Jersey Transit, Conrail, Erie and Erie Lackawanna Railroads.
He was a volunteer member of the Port Jervis Fire Department, a lifetime member of the Port Jervis Elks Club #645 and the Pole Bridge Hunting Club. He was a four-year Varsity Letter Winner for Port Jervis High School in football, basketball, baseball and track.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia H. Morgan, at home; daughter, Lisa M. Morgan of Milford, Pa.; stepchildren, Kimberly Stasa and her husband, Jeffrey, of Nazareth, Pa., Kelly Murphy and her husband, Steven, of Souderton, Pa., and Kyle Aschoff of Lakeville, Minn.; four grandchildren, Travis and Quinn Stasa and Reaghan and Patrick Murphy; and several cousins.
He was pre-deceased by his mother, Mary Morgan, and his grandparents, Carrie and William Morgan.
Visitation was held Nov. 25 with memorial services following at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, Port Jervis. The Rev. Nancy Vonerhorst officiated.
