Students awarded for scholastic achievement
Scranton On Friday, May 8, Johnson College hosted an award ceremony for members of the 2009 graduating class who received high honors, competed in athletics, performed service to the college, and showed dedication to their field. Honorees included Michael Kornhoff, an Architectural Drafting & Design Technology student, of Dingmans Ferry, who will graduate summa cum laude. Kornhoff was also recognized for his athletic achievements. Amanda Oziemblo, an Electronic Technology student from Greentown was recognized as a Student Ambassador. Johnson College was founded in 1912, and is the region’s premier technical college, offering associate degrees in 13 programs. An emphasis on hands-on instruction is supported by a low student-to-teacher ratio. Located in Scranton on a 44-acre campus, Johnson is an accredited, private, non-profit, co-educational institution with a strong tradition of working with regional business and industry to ensure a skilled and qualified workforce.
