A colorful Halloween Friday at DV

WESTFALL — Delaware Valley High School seniors ran the halls last Friday dressed in ghoulish and girlish fashions to celebrate the coming of Halloween. Seniors who dressed up were invited to the auditorium for yearbook photos, and were allowed to wear their costumes throughout the day. From sports teams and cereal mascots to childhood cartoon characters and movie icons, seniors remained creative in spirit, seeming eager to celebrate Halloween in style. “I definitely enjoyed the creative costumes because you have to put a little more thought into it than simply buying one. Walking through the hallways, I couldn’t help but smile at how everyone enjoyed the idea, dressed or not. Overall, I thought it was another success,” said senior Ashley Calle. “We have the most creative class this year,” said Jaime Wright. “Seeing a combination of characters that come from our childhood like Rugrats to familiar faces today like the Progressive Girl, Flo, made it a very exciting and eccentric day of our senior year.” However, not all were so impressed. Some said several people took advantage of the day wearing short and rather risque apparel. “The people who dress inappropriately are the ones who get things taken away from us and have the directors look down on us, “ said senior Meaghan Irwin, “but for the people who really took the time on their costumes did good, it showed that they put a lot of thought into it. I had fun, but I’m sad it’s over.”
