Safe Haven of Pike County presents their second Women of Wisdom Workshop Milford Looking for a Valentine Gift for you, wondering what that might be? Why not give yourself a gift of WOW? What is WOW? WOW is the Safe Haven Women of Wisdom workshops designed to provide women with wisdom, relaxation, fun, education, empowerment, and a day to just enjoy. Join Safe Haven for their second Women of Wisdom Workshop to be held at the Waterwheel Café on Feb. 7 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. This one-day workshop will include a luncheon. Pre-registration is required by Feb. 2, to ensure availability of program materials. Tickets are $15 per person. The WOW workshop agenda for the day is quite diverse and full of creativity. Participants will begin the day by indulging in a variety of chocolate delights. Anna, from Anna’s Candy Kitchen, located in Milford, will be demonstrating a variety of different candy-making techniques. Marina Prinz, RM/T, RDT, IH, Holistic Practitioner will facilitate an interactive session on therapeutic essential oils. Grade Essential Oils are used as a powerful healing tool. Did you know that oils have been used for emotional well-being, addressing issues of anger, anxiety, confidence, depression, fatigue, exhaustion, memory and concentration? For example, many people use marjoram to relieve muscle aches and pains. This session is certain to tickle your sense of smell and provide natural alternatives for your consideration. After a winter luncheon prepared by the staff of Nancie Simonet at the Waterwheel Café, participants will enjoy a change of pace as they learn a variety of indispensable self defense techniques. Grand Master Sung Yoon and Master Arun from Han-Ho Martial Arts, located in Milford will facilitate a women’s self-defense class. Han Ho Martial Arts focuses on unity of body, mind and spirit. The last session of the day will be presented by Joanne Cosh, of Sussex, N.J. Cosh will teach you how to take a dollar bill and turn it into a spectacular art form. Are you giving money as gift? Are you tired of just handing over a plain envelope with money in it? Your recipients are guaranteed to remember your special gift long after the money is spent. You will learn how to fold money into roses and butterflies. Bring crisp paper money with you for this interactive demonstration. All other class materials will be provided.
