A touch of spring

The Hospital lobby was filled with flowers on Good Friday as the Wayne Memorial Hospital Auxiliary prepared for its annual Easter gift giving. More than 200 colorful pansy plants were distributed to Hospital patients, as well as residents of Wayne Memorial’s long-term care facilities, Wayne Woodlands Manor in Waymart and Wayne Delaware Manor in Beach Lake. The Auxiliary doesn’t just support the Hospital but fundraising efforts also allow members to spread goodwill to patients. One hospital patient, Evelyn Thompson of Greeley, said she was going to miss her family’s annual Easter gathering at home, but was delighted by the thoughtfulness of the Auxiliary.
