At the Susquehanna University Honors Band Festival

Three Delaware Valley High School Band members traveled to the campus of Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, to represent Delaware Valley High School in the 17th annual Susquehanna University Honors Band Festival. Senior trumpet player Chad Feakins, junior saxophone player Janay Shoup and sophomore saxophone player Emily Fox were among 150 students from nearly 70 schools spanning nine states to participate in the concert band invitational. These students had the opportunity to experience a brief taste of what it is like to major in music on a college campus. The February festival consisted of three days of intensive rehearsals culminating a “grand finale” type performance Sunday afternoon.
