Balton wins Pike Bar scholarship

Mariam Siegel recently presented a $500 scholarship to Delaware Valley 2007 graduate Ryan Balton in memory of her late husband, Art. The Arthur B. Siegel Humanitarian Scholarship is given by the Pike County Bar Association to a student who is furthering his or her education and who has diversified interests. Balton will use the scholarship at the Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University where Art Siegel, who founded the Pike County Courier, studied communications himself and was the managing editor of the Daily Orange.
