MILFORD — Once again the United Way will host the annual Day of Caring on Saturday, Sept. 12. This special day will kick-off with a “breakfast for champions” at 7:45 at the Delaware Valley 9-10 campus. It is easy to spot the almost 500 volunteers that come out and travel to many local human service agencies. They are the ones wearing the special tee shirts! “This is the second year that the Dime Bank will sponsor the volunteer tee shirts. It means a lot to the United Way to have the support of the Dime Bank, their community awareness and support is crucial to our organization. The Day of Caring is one of our most important events and we hope you will come out and join us,” said Tom Regenski, United Way Vice President. The 9th annual Day of Caring and 7th Annual 9-11 Memorial Blood Drive are both on Saturday. It’s not too late to offer your help! Details about the day and the application form can be found on the United Way website, www.unitedwaypike.org., or call Catherine Capasso at the United Way office at 570-296-9980 or toll free 888-306-6963.
