Blood drive in honor of 1st Lt. Lou Allen

Goshen, N.Y. The New York Blood Center is holding a blood drive in honor of 1st Lt. Lou Allen, a Chester native and Milford resident who died while serving in Iraq. The drive will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 30, at John S. Burke Catholic High School, located at 80 Fletcher St. in Goshen. Donors will help ease a serious blood shortage in the Hudson Valley. “Don’t delay,” says Laurene Sandstrom, Allen’s sister. “Help save the life of a patient today and support our troops with a care package.
