Construction workers this week began installing the last ten beams that will support the finished 40-foot-wide road surface of the Shohola-Barryville interstate bridge. The pictured inside curve of the bridge was delayed until the obstructing old bridge was demolished. Now in its fourth year of construction, the original $8 million project cost estimate increased to $9.4 million and as much as $11.3 million by one published account. (Photo by David Hulse)
