MILFORD — One of the organizers of the recent Pike County Builders Show, Theresa Ann Fredericks said the event had a better turnout than expected, 344 up to Saturday night, and about 200 by lunch time on Sunday. She has been organizing the event for 18 years, and it moved to the Delaware Valley High School for the first time this year. “We might have less attendance (than earlier shows), but more serious individuals, according to the feedback from the vendors,” said Fredericks, possibly indicating an economic upturn. Joe and Sarah Butto of Port Jervis were shopping for ideas on how to renovate the house they’re in the process of buying Sparrowbush, NY. They were looking for insulation and solar panels in particular. The Buttos had no difficulty at all getting a loan, despite of many reports of how tight credit is now. “The banks have bent over backward to help us,” said Joe Butto. First time home buyers who both work, the Buttos are looking forward to moving to their new home.
