Bus controversy continues this month

WESTFALL The question of whose fuel was in the buses during some Krise charter trips was expected to continue at Thursday’s board of education work session. School Board President Bob Goldsack said Krise’s attorney called for the meeting of the transportation committee, to present the company’s side of allegations that Krise used tax-free district fuel on non-school trips. Notice of the afternoon committee’s meeting went out last Thursday, followed by a cancellation notice on Monday. Goldsack said Krise backed out the committee meeting, but the attorneys met anyway. He said that upon the advice of Solicitor Michael Weinstein, the board would meet in closed session on Thursday, Feb. 12, to continue the discussion.
