Business start-up sessions offered
MIlford - “The First Step: Starting Your Business” seminar for entrepreneurs is coming to Pike County this spring. The seminar is being offered by the University of Scranton Small Business Development Center (SBDC), in conjunction with the SBDC’s long-standing supporter, Pike County Industrial Development Corporation. The program will be held at the corporation office at 209 East Harford Street, Milford on Friday, April 20, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The two-hour “The First Step” session is designed for individuals who have an interest in small business entrepreneurship or would like to learn more about the basic business start-up process. Topics include common start-up registrations, licenses, business structure, taxation, research tools, the business plan, local resources, and more. Individual should attend a “First Step,” before they meet with a small business consultant from the SBDC at a Pike county location.
