Catholic Charities of Orange, Sullivan & Ulster welcomed guests to an open house at its new office location at 150 Pike St., Port Jervis.
For those struggling with addiction to alcohol, drugs, and other substances, services available through Catholic Charities’ Port Jervis location include individual, group, and family counseling, as well as medication-assisted therapy, psychiatric support, and peer recovery support. Other services available include social safety net supports for assistance with food, shelter, and other emergency needs, and the Children’s Health and Social Safety Net Initiative for immigrant parents who have substance use disorder. Catholic Charities provides assistance to those in need regardless of religion, ability to pay, or insurance status.
“Port Jervis is a tight knit community. We’re happy to be a part of it and grateful for the support we receive,” said Julie Schwerer, Catholic Charities Port Jervis Program Director. “Word is spreading about this new, more convenient location and our experienced and compassionate staff are providing help and creating hope for our neighbors in need.”
Catholic Charities’ new office is located in what was previously the Orange County Office Complex. There is plentiful on- and off-street parking and sidewalks offer easy access for walkers.
