The Center for Developmental Disabilities was excited to have a “Caps for Sale” storytelling session provided by the Northeast Pa. Center for Independent Living. Conor McGuigan read “Caps for Sale” while Tom Shaffer signed in American Sign Language for the children. The goal of the storytelling program was to expose children to sign language, to bridge communication barriers and to promote inclusion of children with disabilities in educational programs.
