Milford n Michael Knowles, 36, of Henryville admitted robbing a Newfoundland resident of his pickup truck in Greene Township last year. Knowles entered a plea of guilty before President Judge Joseph Kameen on Apr. 26, to charges of robbery of a motor vehicle and persons not to possess firearms, the charge for being a felon in possession of a firearm. Knowles admitted in court that he was in possession of a .380 caliber firearm on May 31 of last year when he stole a Ford pickup truck from the owner on Creamery Road in Greene Township. Knowles was prohibited from possessing a firearm because of a previous robbery conviction in Monroe County. The robbery took place after the landowner discovered Knowles on his Greene Township property. The pickup truck was recovered in the Lehigh Valley several days later. The firearm was recovered by the New York City Police Department several months ago. Knowles is scheduled for sentencing before Judge Kameen on July 5. First Assistant District Attorney Ray Tonkin prosecuted the case for the Pike County District Attorney’s Office.
