Carney Listening Tour' in Delaware Monday
Dingmans Ferry Congressman Christopher P. Carney (D-10-PA) has announced a “Listening Tour” town hall meeting to take place at 4 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 23 at the Delaware Township Municipal Building in Dingmans Ferry. All are invited to attend. Carney will be available to discuss issues affecting our community, including actions Congress is taking to reform our health care system, help our economy and support our veterans. In addition, the congressman will have staff on hand to help with casework issues, including veterans’ benefits, Social Security and Medicare payments. “Listening to the people of Pennsylvania’s Tenth District is a responsibility I take very seriously as their representative in Congress,” said Carney. “Every year, I hold town hall meetings in each of the district’s 14 counties, events that provide me with an opportunity to not only meet constituents but hear their concerns and take their questions. I look forward to meeting constituents on Monday.” Following the successes of the listening tours of the last two years, Congressman Carney has already held town hall events in seven counties in 2009. The town hall in Pike County is among four town halls Congressman Carney is holding Monday and Tuesday. The other events will be held in Susquehanna, Wyoming and Bradford counties.
