Census offers jobs in Pike

MILFORD — Officials of the US Census Bureau office in Scranton will hold an open testing session on Sunday, March 14 at the Church of Good Shepherd Parish Hall on Fifth Street in Milford. Charlie Spano, assistant manager of recruiting for the Scranton office said,”... We need over one hundred more people from just Pike.” Census jobs pay eleven to fourteen dollars an hour, provide mileage reimbursement and paid training. The test will begin at 2 p.m. and those taking it are asked to arrive half an hour early and bring two forms of identification with them. Call for identification requirements. Anyone taking the test for possible future employment with the Census is asked to bring a can or box of food for the food pantry or a toy for the child care center.
